Thunderstorms Dampen Cities
Thunderstorms rained and boomed over Santa Ana and Laguna Beach on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Santa Ana received the heaviest rain in the county, 0.02 inches.
An Irvine resident reported that there was a brief hailstorm late Saturday afternoon.
There is a 60% chance of showers this morning, with clearing in the afternoon, said meteorologist Jeff Jaros of WeatherData Inc., which provides forecasts for The Times.
Showers may return by nighttime in some areas and last until Monday morning, he said.
