The eight San Diego Section championship soccer games scheduled for Saturday at three sites were postponed because of wet grounds. They will be made up next week.
The new schedule is as follows:
In boys’ games, Patrick Henry and Mira Mesa play for the Division I title Wednesday at Torrey Pines; Torrey Pines and San Pasqual vie for the Division II title Monday at Hilltop; Mission Bay and St. Augustine battle for the Division III championship Monday at Torrey Pines; and La Jolla Country Day and Bishop’s go after the Division IV crown Monday at San Diego.
All games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
In girls’ games, San Dieguito and Bonita Vista play for the Division I title Wednesday at Torrey Pines; Torrey Pines and San Pasqual fight for the Division II championship Monday at Hilltop; and USDHS and La Jolla go after the Division III championship Monday at Torrey Pines.
All girls’ games are scheduled for 5 p.m.
Also, the Division IV championship game between Christian and Bishop’s is tentatively scheduled for Monday at San Diego, also at 5 p.m.
There is a chance the games could be further postponed if the current storm lingers longer than expected. It was supposed to have dropped the last of its precipitation on the county Saturday night, leaving partly cloudy skies today and giving way to sunshine on Monday.
