Leomiti, Bruder Miss Practice

Spring football opened Monday at San Diego State without two players: junior offensive lineman Carlson Leomiti, who did not make his weight requirement; and freshman linebacker Tyson Bruder, who was AWOL.
SDSU Coach Al Luginbill said Leomiti, who will be weighed again Friday, will not participate in drills this week.
“There’s no way for him to physically lose the weight he needs to lose by Friday,” Luginbill said.
Although neither Luginbill nor SDSU trainer Brian Barry divulged Leomiti’s weight, Barry said the lineman needs to get down to 360 pounds before being cleared.
As for Bruder, Luginbill didn’t know what to think. He said Bruder took a biology exam Monday morning then disappeared.
“I don’t know where he is,” Luginbill said. “I’m concerned because that’s not like him. That’s not in his character (to disappear).”
