San Diego State University, which recently discharged its basketball coach, Jim Brandenburg, now needs a savior. Yet members of San Diego’s sports intelligentsia huff and puff at Tarkanian’s connections and ridicule his chances for coaching at San Diego State. They ignore that he has great ability in winning basketball games and that the unwashed masses respect and cherish him. He’s one rebel I’d love to see run San Diego State’s abandoned Aztecs.
