Fans of “Gunsmoke” will be in Dodge City heaven this week. Every morning at 10:05, TBS will present special two-part episodes of the long-running Western that starred James Arness as Marshall Matt Dillon. Monday: “Gunsmoke: The Waste,” stars Ellen Burstyn and Johnny Whitaker; Tuesday: “Gunsmoke: Pike;” Wednesday: “Gunsmoke: Women for Sale,” features Shani Wallis and James Whitmore; Thursday: “Gunsmoke: The River,” stars Jack Elam and Slim Pickens; Friday: “Gunsmoke: Island in the Desert,” features Strother Martin. “Gunsmoke: Vengeance” airs Wednesday at 11 p.m.

Stuart Erwin, who received an Oscar nomination for 1936’s “Pigskin Parade,” guests on “The Andy Griffith Show” (Monday at 3:35 p.m. on TBS).

The Family Channel repeats “Roots: The Next Generation” (Monday-Saturday at 8 and 11 p.m.), the acclaimed 1979 sequel to the late Alex Haley’s historical 1977 miniseries “Roots.” Georg Stanford Brown, Lynne Moody, Henry Fonda, Richard Thomas and even Marlon Brando star.

Henry Gibson returns as the jinxed cavalryman, Wrongo Starr, on “F Troop” (Monday at 8 p.m. on Nickelodeon).

Batter up! Baseball fever visits TBS Tuesday when it presents baseball-themed episodes of “The Flintstones” (1:05 p.m.), “The Brady Bunch” (1:35 p.m.), “Happy Days” (2:05 p.m.), “The Jeffersons” (2:35 p.m.), “The Beverly Hillbillies (3:05 p.m.) and “The Andy Griffith Show” (3:35 p.m.)

Barry Livingston of “My Three Sons” fame guests on “The Dick Van Dyke Show” (Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. on Nickelodeon) in an episode in which Rob finds himself surrounded by the parents of neighborhood prodigies after Alan Brady announces he’s going to telecast a talent contest.

Lassie needs a new blanket, but she doesn’t want to give up her old one and refuses to accept a new one on “Jeff’s Collie” (Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. on Nickelodeon).

Oscar-winner Jack Albertson guests on “The Dick Van Dyke Show” (Thursday at 9:30 p.m. on Nickelodeon) in an episode in which Sally makes everyone go to a bowling alley so she can unveil a new song and dance.
