Santa Anita will simulcast the $500,000 Oaklawn Handicap from Oaklawn Park and the $300,000 California Derby from Golden Gate Fields today. The Oaklawn race will be shown between the third and fourth races, and the derby will be shown between the fifth and sixth.

Best Pal is the 7-5 favorite locally in the Oaklawn Handicap, the third leg of the American Championship Racing Series. Trainer Gary Jones said that the Habitony gelding was fine Friday after suffering a sore hoof earlier this week. Twilight Agenda, Fly So Free, Sea Cadet, Jarrarr, Total Assets and Crafty Cash also are entered.

Arp, who was second to Bertrando in the San Felipe, is the 3-1 local favorite to win the 1 1/8-mile California Derby. He drew the outside post in the field of 11 and will be ridden by Pat Valenzuela.
