SOUTHWEST LOS ANGELES : 4 Shot in 2 Apparent Robberies on Same Street

Four young men were wounded, one critically, during apparent robberies on the same street in Southwest Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The victims, all in their late teens or early 20s, were found in the 1300 and 1400 blocks of West 37th Drive, within a block of one another about 3:30 p.m., Fire Department spokesman Mike Little said.

Four rescue ambulances were sent to the scene. One man was in critical condition at County-USC Medical Center, Little said.

Three other young men were taken to the Hospital of the Good Samaritan in good condition. “As far as we know right now it was a robbery,” said Los Angeles Police Officer W. Young of the Southwest Station.
