Hall of Fame Clarification
I am writing to clarify information given about our 10th annual Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Banquet. There are two women currently enshrined in the Hall of Fame: Nancy Chaffee Kiner, inducted in 1984 for her career in tennis, and Sally Tuttle Karrasch, in 1986 for her career in swimming.
In addition, in 1988, Paula Jean Pope, former three-time Olympic Gold Medal winner in diving, was awarded a Special Recognition Award.
