LAGUNA HILLS : 5 Residents Chosen for Traffic Panel
The City Council has chosen five residents from 45 applicants to serve on the city’s first appointed commission.
“The decision to narrow the choice to five people to serve on the commission was a difficult one,” said Mayor Melody Carruth, “because there were so many well-qualified candidates.”
Appointed to the Traffic Commission were William Bivens, Daniel Jung, Cathy Koperek, Lon Von Hurwitz and Boyd Warner.
Because future appointments will be staggered, two of the new commissioners initially will serve eight-month terms to expire on Jan. 31, 1993. The other three commissioners will be up for reappointment on Jan. 31, 1994.
