Sanchez beat Jakob Hlasek, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4; Bruguera defeated Marc Rosset, 7-5, 6-2, and Sanchez and Casal beat Hlasek and Rosset, 6-7 (7-5), 7-5, 6-4.

Czechoslovakia and the United States, the leading teams in Blue Group, play today.

Top-seeded Kimiko Date of Japan and No. 3 Lori McNeil were eliminated in the second round of a $150,000 tournament at Strasbourg, France.
