New York Giant linebacker Kanavis McGhee pleaded innocent to three charges stemming from an argument with a police officer and a motorist.
Municipal Court Judge Jeramiah Healy in Jersey City, N.J., set a court date of June 30 for McGhee to be tried on charges of simple assault, and resisting arrest as well as and disorderly conduct. persons offense. Each charge carries a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
McGhee was arrested May 17 after he refused to leave the scene of a street argument, police said.
