Reddy Gustine, the Chapman men’s tennis coach, has resigned to devote full attention to his duties as head professional at Oakwood North and South Tennis Club in Newport Beach.

Gustine, whose position at Chapman was part-time, also taught several physical education classes each semester.

The Panthers, who had won three NCAA Division II titles in the late 1980s when the school offered tennis scholarships, had a 14-20 record over two seasons. Chapman was 8-8 this season and was ranked No. 18 in the final national poll.
