BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : DODGERS : Test Results Are Good News for Scioscia

Share

Mike Scioscia had a bone scan and X-rays on his bruised hip Friday and then was examined at Dodger Stadium by Dr. Frank Jobe. “I got good news when they didn’t find a major fracture,” Scioscia said. “I hope to be back in no more than three or four days.” . . . Ramon Martinez also had his strained hip examined by Jobe after leaving Thursday night’s game in the seventh inning. Martinez ran Friday and said he felt good. He said he expects to make his next start.

Darryl Strawberry swung a bat for the second consecutive day, hitting balls tossed softly by a coach. “I’m not having any trouble swinging the bat,” he said. “I can’t wait to get ready.” Strawberry hopes to be at triple-A Albuquerque on rehabilitation assignment in two weeks.
