A fire resulting from an electrical short caused about $200,000 in damage to an apartment Sunday afternoon and minor injury to a firefighter.
The fire, in a downstairs unit at Valencia Garden Apartments in the 15700 block of Williams Street, started about 3 p.m. and was contained within half an hour, said Steve McClellan, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Department.
The fireman, Kurt Kreuger, was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was treated for a minor back injury, McClellan said.
