One player from the Pawtucket Red Sox and another from the Columbus Clippers were suspended for four days in connection with a beanball-inspired bench-clearing brawl, the triple-A International League said.
All 10 ejected before and after the 20-minute brawl Monday night were fined, league President Randy Mobley said. He said pitchers Peter Hoy of Pawtucket and Andy Cook of Columbus were under suspension beginning with Tuesday’s game between the teams.
