Mario Bennett, named Arizona State’s most valuable player last season, has suffered a knee injury that jeopardizes his sophomore season with the Sun Devils, it was announced in Tempe, Ariz.
The 6-foot-9 Bennett incurred the injury to his left knee July 30 while working at a basketball camp in his hometown of Denton, Tex. The injury has been diagnosed as a moderately-to-severely sprained knee ligament.
