GLENDALE : Man Killed by Girlfriend’s Husband Is Identified
A man who was shot to death by an off-duty Los Angeles police officer in a Glendale apartment was identified Friday by authorities as Gregory Rico Thomas, 39, of Rancho Cucamonga.
Thomas, employed at a physical fitness center in Hollywood, and his girlfriend, Melba Ramos, 26, were found dead in her apartment Thursday morning. Glendale police said the two had been murdered late Wednesday by Ramos’ estranged husband, Victor Felix Ramos, who shot and killed himself.
Glendale Police Sgt. Leif Nicolaisen said Ramos, an LAPD officer for three years, was upset because his wife, from whom he had recently separated, was romantically involved with another man.
