After the Miami Dolphins welcomed Tommy Maddox to the NFL, Maddox showed he intends to stick around.

Maddox, a 20-year-old rookie from UCLA, was sacked six times, but got off the ground to throw two touchdown passes for the Denver Broncos, whose rally fell short of the Dolphins, 31-27, Saturday night in Berlin.

“I didn’t really expect to come out my first game and light up the world and do perfect,” said Maddox, who threw three interceptions, including one when the Broncos (1-2) were driving for a potential winning touchdown in the final minutes. “Obviously, I’ve got a lot to work on.”
