Aftershocks Hit Yucca Valley, Barstow
Aftershocks of the June 28 Landers earthquake were recorded near Yucca Valley and Barstow on Monday.
The strongest, a magnitude 4.2 shaker at 2:25 a.m., was centered 22 miles north of Yucca Valley near the rupture zone of the original 7.5 Landers temblor.
Then, at 3:54 p.m., a 3.2 earthquake occurred nine miles northeast of Barstow. It was the latest of a cluster of more than 200 quakes near that desert city, said a Caltech spokesman.
Neither quake did any reported damage.
