Tickets sold in Elk Grove, San Mateo and Pomona correctly matched the six numbers drawn in California’s Saturday night Super Lotto game and their lucky holders will share a $51-million jackpot, lottery officials said.

Each ticket is worth $16.9 million, officials said.

The numbers drawn from a field of 51 were 5, 17, 28, 35, 37, and 42. The numbers are listed in sequential order, but any combination wins.

The $51-million jackpot is the biggest since the state’s world-record $118.8-million prize 17 months ago.

The odds of choosing the correct six numbers from a field of 51 were 1 in 18 million, said Joanne McNabb, a state lottery spokeswoman.

Sales from Wednesday to Saturday’s draw were $34.5 million.

In addition to the jackpot winners, there were 524 tickets sold matching five of the six numbers. Each ticket was worth $1,646. There were 28,064 tickets with four of six numbers, with each winning $79.

And there were 539,993 tickets sold with three of six numbers, with each worth an automatic $5.

Lottery officials estimate the jackpot for Wednesday night’s game will be $3 million.
