Detectives arrested a Thousand Oaks teen-ager on Friday afternoon in connection with the stabbing earlier this week of a 23-year-old Moorpark man.
The 17-year-old male, who was not identified because he is a minor, was arrested for the attempted murder of Jaime Sanchez Hernandez, Sheriff’s Lt. Dante Honorico said.
Hernandez suffered multiple stab wounds to his head and abdomen during what detectives described as a gang-related dispute Sunday night near Hillcrest Drive and Avenida de la Plata in Thousand Oaks. He remains in serious but stable condition at Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, officials said.
Honorico said more arrests are expected in the incident. Investigators have identified three other juveniles as possible suspects, but are still looking for them, detectives said.
The arrested youth was transferred to juvenile hall, officials said.
