The playing field at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., is two meters short in both length and width of World Cup standards, but still will be used for games during the 1994 tournament.
During a technical inspection of the 76,000-seat facility, venue directors and FIFA, the international governing body of soccer, said the field will measure 66 meters by 103 meters.
