In the Olympic League:

Capistrano Valley Christian 3, Calvary Chapel 1--Courtney Owens had 19 kills for host Calvary Chapel. Heidi Elliott had eight kills for Capistrano Valley Christian (8-0, 8-0), which won, 14-16, 15-13, 15-2, 15-10.

In the Orange League:

Valencia 3, Western 1--Brandy Smerko’s 31 kills and seven blocks helped visiting Valencia (8-3, 5-0) to a 15-11, 12-15, 15-12, 15-10 victory, its 27th consecutive in league play.

In the Sea View League:

Newport Harbor 3, Santa Margarita 1--Melissa Schutz and Misty May had 17 kills each for host Newport Harbor (9-2, 8-1), ranked third in the county, which won, 12-15, 15-6, 15-7, 15-11.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 3, Dana Hills 0--Vanessa Schweinberg had 19 kills and Shelly Smith added 17 for Capistrano Valley (10-1, 5-0), the fourth-ranked team in the county.

El Toro 3, Mission Viejo 2--Tishara Jespersen had 16 kills for the Chargers (5-3, 3-2), who won, 11-15, 15-3, 15-1, 9-15, 15-6.
