Glendale : Weekend Heist Nets $9,000
Three armed men burst into a local restaurant, ordered employees to the floor and made off with $9,000 in a weekend robbery.
The heist at Acapulco in the 700 Block of North Pacific Avenue occurred just after 1 a.m. Saturday, Sgt. Lief Nicolaisen said. The restaurant was closed, but four employees were inside cleaning up. Nicolaisen said the intruders ordered the employees to the floor with their faces down, then forced two of them to get the cash from an office safe.
A busboy was hurt when a robber struck him with the barrel of a shotgun after he looked up at the men.
