Magic Johnson Isn’t Someone to Admire

So Magic Johnson is an American hero and a role model, so says David Contois’ letter (Times, Oct. 17). Why? Because he has HIV? A role model because of the way he got HIV? Where has Contois been this past year? No way would I want Johnson to be a role model to my kids. I’ll take Tony Gwynn any day.
