3.1 Aftershock Shakes Desert Town

From Associated Press

An earthquake measuring magnitude 3.1 rattled windows in this desert town Saturday. There were no reports of damage or injuries.

The temblor occurred at 7:53 a.m. about four miles northwest of Banning, said Stef Donev, a spokesman for Caltech in Pasadena.

Donev said it was an aftershock to the June 28 Landers quake, which killed one person and caused millions of dollars in damage.
