Man Repairing Car Crushed to Death
ORANGE —
A 29-year-old Orange man was killed Monday afternoon when a jack failed, trapping him underneath a car he was repairing, authorities said.
Two security guards found Sheldon Glenn Knopp pinned underneath a car at the rear of an apartment complex at 1450 E. Grove Ave. about 3:50 p.m., said Richard McAnally, a senior deputy county coroner. The two guards managed to push the car off Knopp, but he died at the scene, McAnally said.
