College: Irvine Valley

Sport: Cross-Country

Class: Freshman

When Hunsaker, 35 decided to start running, she had to consider the time it would keep her away from other important things in her life, such as her husband Brian and three daughters: Brittany, 8, Haley, 5, and Kylie, 2.

But with the cooperation of her family, Hunsaker is doing well this season. She is the top runner for Irvine Valley, which is one of the top two teams in Southern California along with Mt. San Antonio.

Hunsaker finished second overall Saturday, when Irvine Valley put three runners in the top seven to win the Moorpark Invitational.
