Woolridge Leaves Titan Basketball Team

FULLERTON — Chauncey Woolridge, a former Santa Ana High School standout who was used infrequently at Cal State Fullerton last season, has left the Titan basketball program to transfer to a community college, Fullerton Coach Brad Holland said Wednesday.
Woolridge, a 6-foot-5 sophomore forward who averaged 26 points and 12 rebounds a game during his senior year at Santa Ana, played only 13 minutes last season and wasn’t expected to be much of a factor this season.
Woolridge, not quick enough to cover most guards and not big enough to stick with most big men, had trouble finding a spot in Fullerton’s system.
“He told me he felt he needed to go to a community college to improve his skills and then hopefully get back to Division I,” Holland said.
