FRIDAY FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Crenshaw Stuns Saugus in Final Seconds, 21-16

Share

Crenshaw quarterback Eric Scott scored on a four-yard run with 32 seconds left to lead the Cougars to a 21-16 upset of Saugus in a nonleague game.

Sophomore tailback Brandon Seals contributed to the victory by rushing for 66 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown run, in 12 carries.

The Centurions, ranked No. 2 in the latest Southern Section Division II polls, had a chance to pull out the victory when they drove to the Cougar 15-yard line with two seconds to play. But Crenshaw linebacker Darrell Mayoon preserved the win by sacking Saugus quarterback Bobby Cowan on the final play.
