VAN NUYS : Motorcyclist Killed in Freeway Accident
A 32-year-old Van Nuys man was killed in an accident Friday when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell into the path of a semitrailer-truck in Downey, the California Highway Patrol said.
The motorcyclist, whose identity was withheld until his family could be contacted, fell off his bike and was struck by the right rear tire of the truck at the transition from the southbound Golden State Freeway to the southbound 605 Freeway, a CHP official said.
