Shawn McEachern, who last winter was a member of the U.S. Olympic team, is developing into an another potent weapon in the Pittsburgh Penguins’ arsenal.

The rookie scored two goals Friday night to help Pittsburgh defeat the New Jersey Devils, 4-1, at East Rutherford, N.J.

Playing on a club that already has such proven goal scorers as Mario Lemieux, Kevin Stevens, Joe Mullen, Rick Tocchet and Jaromir Jagr, McEachern is making his mark.
