Bell 26, North Hollywood 0--Running back William Mendez rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns in 23 carries as top-seeded Bell won its 10th consecutive game in the first round of the 3-A Division playoffs.

Mendez, who scored five touchdowns last week after replacing suspended running back Bobby Sullivan, scored on a 15-yard run and a 60-yard kickoff return. Bell sophomore Gustavo Valenzuela completed two of seven passes for 33 yards with two interceptions in his first start.
