Williams Gets 24 as Titans Defeat Aussies
Sean Williams scored 24 points and pulled down 14 rebounds Thursday night to lead Cal State Fullerton to an 81-70 exhibition basketball victory at Fullerton over Melbourne, a touring Australian team.
Andrew Gaze, former Seton Hall player, scored 27 points for Melbourne.
Melbourne had the lead late in the game, but the Titans went ahead in the closing minutes and then scored the game’s final eight points.
Don Leary added 21 points for Fullerton, getting 15 by making five of seven shots from three-point range.
It was the second exhibition victory for Fullerton, which defeated the Fellowship of Christian Athletes last week.
