Pool a Waste of School Funds
In its infinite wisdom, in spite of overwhelming budget deficits, the Los Angeles Unified School District is building a nine-lane indoor swimming pool at Cleveland High School (“Labor Pool,” Times Valley Edition, Nov. 16).
My thanks to all the district employees who are taking second jobs, selling their homes, and making do with the bare necessities in order to make this pool possible by taking 12% pay cuts.
