ESCONDIDO : 4 Suspects Sought in Fatal Stabbing
A 28-year-old Escondido man was stabbed to death in Vista and another man was seriously injured in an attack by four men, Sheriff’s officials said Wednesday.
Timothy Burke was pronounced dead about midnight Wednesday morning in the 300 block of Pomelo Drive. He suffered wounds to the neck and chest, said Medical Examiner Investigator Stan Berdan.
Sheriff’s homicide and gang detail detectives said that four male assailants arrived in a car in front of an apartment complex near where Burke was standing. After the men attacked Burke, they apparently went to a nearby apartment where Alberto Fox, 29, of Vista, was stabbed several times. Fox was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in satisfactory condition. The assailants fled and were at large late Wednesday.
Two suspects have been identified as Dupree Maurice Allen, 20, and Don Bailey, 39. The identities of the two other men were not known.
