Lake Forest Man Dies After Car Flips
IRVINE —
A 26-year-old Lake Forest man died just before midnight Saturday when his car flipped over on the Santa Ana Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Edwin Monterroso was driving at 75 to 80 m.p.h. northbound past the Yale Avenue overpass when his car struck a trailer being pulled by another car at about 50 m.p.h., the CHP reported. Monterroso’s car then rolled over and landed on its roof, killing him.
The driver of the other car, Saruch Booncherm, 31, of Glendale, was uninjured, the CHP said.
