Long Beach : Child Abuse Treatment Center Reopens After Fire

Share

Cedar House has reopened in a temporary location after an accidental fire last week damaged its Cedar Avenue facility and closed the nationally recognized center for the prevention and treatment of child abuse.

Cedar House began counseling abused children Monday in a donated office suite at 125 E. 8th St., said Connie Smith, a member of the board of directors of the nonprofit organization.

Smith said she did not know how long it would take to repair the leased two-story building at 605 Cedar Ave.
