The death of Lou Henson Jr. was ruled an accident by a Champaign County coroner’s jury in Illinois. Henson, 35, the son of Lou Henson, Illinois basketball coach, was thrown from his car Nov. 20 after the 1989 Ford Escort left Interstate 74, struck a culvert and rolled at least three times. His blood-alcohol level was 0.17, above the 0.10 threshold for intoxication, said coroner Eldon Quick. Henson Jr. was the basketball coach at Parkland College, a two-year college in Champaign.
