Baldwin Park : Trailer to Display Car Speed
Baldwin Park motorists will soon be able to see how fast they are driving on city streets, thanks to a radar speed detection trailer the City Council funded Wednesday.
The $11,000 trailer will be used both for speeding enforcement and traffic engineering, City Manager Donald Penman said. The trailer will be parked on streets, where it can assess and display the speed at which oncoming cars are traveling.
Money from the city’s gasoline tax fund and asset-seizure fund was used to pay for the trailer.
