Whittier : City Council Meetings Will Air on Cable TV
Live broadcasts of City Council meetings will begin airing next month on local cable television, allowing residents to watch government in action from their living rooms.
Beginning Jan. 19, cable TV subscribers can tune in Channel 36 to view council meetings at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
About 13,000 Whittier homes subscribe to the cable service provided by Sammons Communications, a company spokeswoman said.
Council meetings will be broadcast live and repeated several times. Copies of the broadcast will be available at the public library.
