Golden Richards, a former wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, has been charged with seven felony counts for allegedly forging checks to buy prescription narcotics, authorities in Salt Lake City said.
Richards is best remembered for catching the touchdown pass that clinched the Cowboys’ 1977 Super Bowl victory.
Robert Shober, a detective in West Jordan, Utah, said Richards, 42, was arrested after allegedly forging his signature to checks he stole from his parents.
