Penn State assistant coach Jim Caldwell has been chosen to replace Wake Forest Coach Bill Dooley, according to a North Carolina television report.
Caldwell would become the first black head football coach in the 40-year history of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The school will make the official announcement today, station WGHP reported.
