Crenshaw 92, Manual Arts 77--Reggie McFerrin hit five of six three-point shots and Kris Johnson scored 31 points to lead Crenshaw over Manual Arts in the semifinal round of L.A. Officials tournament at Washington.

The Cougars’ defense employed full-court pressure and mid-court traps to build a 36-19 first-period lead. The Toilers, led by center David Rickenbacker’s 23 points, made a fourth-period run at the Cougars and came within nine points with 3:39 remaining, but Crenshaw’s Maurice Robinson, who had 14 points, sealed the win with three buckets in a row.
