Golfer Tommy Armour III and tennis player David Pate have been subpoenaed to testify next week before a grand jury looking into a drug case involving two Las Vegas lawyers, according to a published report.
Armour and Pate, who live in Las Vegas, were among 12 people ordered to testify before the Clark County Grand Jury Jan. 21, the Las Vegas Sun reported.
The Sun reported that chief deputy district attorney Ulrich Smith plans to present a case to the grand jury involving lawyers Michael and Rhonda Mushkin, and convicted drug dealer Harvey Sackin. Armour said he has no idea why he was subpoenaed to testify, other than that he is a longtime friend of Michael Mushkin, his attorney.
