Sheriff’s detectives late Monday were investigating the suspicious death of a woman found beside her car in the Somis area, officials said.
Deputies were called about 2:30 p.m. and found the woman’s body next to the car, which was parked by a creek in the 4000 block of Donlon Road, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Godfrey. The name of the woman, who was described as about 38 years old, was not released as of late Monday.
“It appears at this time that they have a homicide,” Godfrey said.
Neighbors said they saw the car Monday morning, parked at an odd angle with its front wheels embedded in mud. Other details about the woman’s death, including the cause of death, were not available.
