REAL THING: Western State College of Law in Fullerton boasts that the attorney Tom Cruise plays in the hit movie “A Few Good Men” is its 1978 graduate, Walter Bansley, who retired as a Marine major at Camp Pendleton last fall. The movie is based on a military murder that was one of Bansley’s cases. . . . Actually, says Bansley, now a private attorney in Connecticut, the Cruise character is a composite of him and two other lawyers. He says: “One review said Tom Cruise should have been older, tougher, and more cynical. I thought, ‘Yeah, that was me.’ ”
