VAN NUYS : Hospital to Offer Tests for HIV
- Share via
Valley Hospital Medical Center in Van Nuys will offer confidential HIV testing this weekend and next, officials said.
The hospital will administer confidential, anonymous tests for human immunodeficiency virus--which causes AIDS--in its Community Consultation Center on Saturday and a week later, hospital spokesman Bryan Bishop said. The test costs $15, and results will be available in a week.
Counselors will also be available to answer questions and to offer emotional assistance. Bishop said the tests are being offered as an outreach effort to those who may need HIV/AIDS support.
