HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Hart Edges Burbank in 2 Overtimes

Brandon Moore scored five of his team-high 22 points in the second overtime Thursday to help Hart High defeat host Burbank, 74-71, and clinch a share of the Foothill League basketball title.
Moore, whose three-point basket tied it, 57-57, at the end of regulation, hit a three-point shot with 1 minute 30 seconds remaining in the second overtime to give Hart (15-6, 8-1 in league play) a 66-65 lead.
Burbank’s Mike Jonas, who scored a game-high 30 points, hit two of his four three-point baskets in the second overtime period. His fourth three-pointer got Burbank close, 72-71, with six seconds remaining.
In another boys’ game:
Holy Martyrs 69, Yeshiva 59--Sarkis Balian scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help the Armens (16-3, 6-1), ranked No. 8 in Southern Section Division V, avenge a loss to Yeshiva (3-4 in Liberty League play).
GIRLS
Thousand Oaks 83, Agoura 31--Thousand Oaks built a 27-1 lead at the end of the first quarter against visiting Agoura in a Marmonte League game. Thousand Oaks (23-0, 11-0) equaled its 23-game winning streak of the 1991-92 season, which ended with a loss to Lynwood in the quarterfinals of the Division I state playoffs.
The Lancers, who have won 46 of 47, are one victory from clinching a share of the league title. Center Marion Jones led Thousand Oaks with 21 points.
Newbury Park 54, Channel Islands 51--Sophomore center Kara McKeown had 15 points and a school-record 25 rebounds to lead the Panthers to a Marmonte League victory over visiting Channel Islands.
Newbury Park (17-6, 9-3) led at halftime, 25-24, then opened the second half with a 9-0 run and never again trailed. Dolores Tui had 15 points for Channel Islands.
Hart 62, Burbank 36--LaCresha Clark scored 12 points and Chandra Neal added 10 to lead the Indians (18-5, 9-0) past Burbank in a Foothill League game.
Hart overcame a one-point first-quarter deficit by outscoring Burbank, 18-2, in the second quarter.
Alemany 56, Harvard-Westlake 38--Samantha Rigley had 16 points, 17 rebounds and seven assists to lead visiting Alemany in the Mission League game.
Carly Funicello added eight points and 10 rebounds for Alemany (20-4, 8-2), and teammate Kathy Brown had nine points and eight steals.
Bell-Jeff 58, Cantwell Sacred Heart 43--Cathy Flores scored 20 points and Lori Talley added 18 as the Guards (22-2, 10-0) clinched at least a share of the Camino Real League title.
Village Christian 58, Maranatha 29--Four Crusaders scored in double figures to help Village Christian (17-4, 7-0) clinch the Alpha League title with its ninth consecutive victory.
