LOS ANGELES : Edelman to Resign From Coliseum Commission

Los Angeles County Supervisor Ed Edelman, who had attended only two of about 25 meetings of the Coliseum Commission in the two years since he became a member, announced Friday plans to resign from the commission.

“I regret that the press of county business has prevented me from attending as many meetings . . . as I would like, although my staff has worked to keep me abreast of Coliseum issues as they arise,” Edelman declared.

The commission has nine members--daily three representing the city of Los Angeles, three represmenting Los Angeles County and three representing the state. Two other supervisors who are members, Mike Antonovich and Deane Dana, attend more regularly.
